Introduction:

The purpose of this assignment is to share my previous creative experiences to people who wants to enter to the art world via visual narrative story. The story included few periods of my life. This assignment also required by using Adobe Spark and Adobe Draw.
Materials:
Hardware: Macbook, iPad, Stylus
Software: Photoshop CC, Adobe Draw
Platforms: Creative Cloud, Adobe Spark, Behance
Creative Process:
My creative journey aims to young adults who want to seek higher art careers and hope them can get some inspirations for creating their own path of their art journey and also encourage them to do everythings independently via my personal experience. I tried to make this video more interesting so I used first-person with friendly and relaxed voice. In addition, I also added some funny episodes in the voice recording for catch audience's attention.

Story Outline/Script:
Before I wrote the story, I did some research about how to write a good script, I used SAVE THE CAT by Blake Snyder as reference for screenwriting. At same time, I also reviewed my old photos for remind me some ideas, I pulled out some periods and used this format as a template to wrote a complete story.
When I was doing the research, I found this book is one of must-read for film students.
Note of my script research.

Storyboarding:
I reread my script many times and tried to recall the scenes in my memories. Then, I divided my illustrations into charts and reorganized them in order.
I made a storyboard charts for thumbnails.
Illustrations:
I think colourful graphics can catch audience's eye so I drew all in colour. I used multiple layers for this step, followed by OUTLINING > ADJUSTMENT > COLOURING. I added each colors in different layers, this is the best way to illustrate it. In this case, you don't need to worry about crossing lines.  Here are some examples:
A timelapse of my colouring process.
Here are all my color drawings, I used Adobe Draw with stylus.
I used 7 layers for this slice and the Goku part in TV was from my sketchbook.
Me in this graphic was done in other slice so I just took it into this scene, I used six layers without the character on the left hand side.
And this just like previous one, I just flipped to other side. Five layers.
This slice has the most layers compare with others, it has more than 10 layers.
It has three layers: outline, colour and poster.

Conclusion:

This pie chart shows the percentage of my work.
Overall, I knew I spent too much time on script development. I kept editing, hoping my video would inspire someone, even just one person. I really enjoyed this assignment, no matter illustration or recording. One thing that I really need to complain about was Adobe Spark, I was suffering on Spark rendering. Lastly, I'm quite satisfied with the final result and I really need to thank my peers - Tahera and Katie. Because they helped me a lot. I also want to thanks Jim to offer this assignment to us, it recalled me a lot when I was reviewing my old photos but if I had a chance to do it again I will try to find other software for this project.
